Spiritual Support

Ardgowan Hospice

The Hospice recognises that each person will have their own belief and understanding of what it means to be spiritual.  For many, this is being part of a faith group or a church but for others, it may not be connected with any religious belief; it may simply involve the love of nature or a sense of human compassion.  However, one may not practice a religion, but can still have spiritual needs and those will be respected and met at Ardgowan Hospice.

As a member of the hospice team, our Spiritual Care Coordinator is available to everyone; patients, families, staff and volunteers. Support exists to help you, your family and friends with any spiritual needs; it may be religious or could be providing an open and compassionate environment in which, personal thoughts and special moments are either kept to oneself or they are shared.

Spiritual Care Coordinator service is there for you or your loved ones and offers:-

  • One to one confidential personal or family sessions
  • A private way to explore concerns while using the Services of the Hospice
  • Taking time to discuss life
  • Direct contact to your preferred spiritual or faith needs
  • To help explore your feelings, concerns and your own personal wishes

The Spiritual Care Coordinator is a member of the Patient and Family Support Team and can be contacted on: 01475 726830.
