Active for Ardgowan
It’s the start of February and many good intentions may have fallen by the wayside, but a way to feel better and resolve to get fitter and support the hospice is to take part in the Active for Ardgowan appeal.
Adding some ‘active’ time to your day can boost your mood and help you feel better. Active for Ardgowan is for everyone. It appeals to people training for a challenge. It also suits those who want to make a positive change in 2018 by adding something active into their day. This could include getting off the bus a stop earlier, taking the stairs or leaving the car and walking to the shops. Any money saved you can donate to the Hospice.
Ardgowan Hospice is inviting Inverclyde to sign up to an activity and gain sponsorship for a very worthy cause. Families can get involved with the Bubble Rush on May 6th – this is frothy and fun and only 5k that can be walked or ran.
Scotland is brimming with other active challenges, all of which can be run, swum, walked or cycled in aid of the Ardgowan Hospice. Details of events are featured on the Hospice’s website https://ardgowanhospice.org.uk/support-your-local-hospice
Alex Mula, Events and Fundraising Coordinator, Ardgowan Hospice said: “I have signed up for the Men’s 10k in Glasgow to raise money for the hospice and it also means I will get out and train in all weathers.”
