Charity Golf Day at Mar Hall Raises £6,303 in Aid of Ardgowan Hospice
Ardgowan Hospice are delighted to announce that the recent Charity Golf Day at Mar Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort was a tremendous success, raising an impressive total of £6,303 for Ardgowan Hospice.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with 68 golfers participating, including several celebrities who lent their star power to the cause.
Among the notable names were professional golfers Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Amy Boulden, and actors Martin Compston and Tony Curran.
The event also welcomed Craig McGinlay, Jamie Roy, football legends Frank McAvennie, Gordon Dalziel, Gordon Smith, Jim Melrose, Ian Durant, and Andy Little.
The day began with a warm welcome and registration, followed by a shotgun start that saw over 60 participants teeing off under perfect golfing conditions.
Mar Hall’s picturesque and challenging course provided the ideal backdrop for the event, with players enjoying both the sport and the beautiful scenery.
Throughout the day, participants competed in a series of golf challenges, including the longest drive and Beat the Pro contests, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
The competition was fierce but friendly, reflecting the strong community spirit that Ardgowan Hospice is proud to foster.
A highlight of the event was the charity auction and raffle, featuring exclusive items donated by generous sponsors.
Prizes included luxury holidays, signed sports memorabilia, and unique experiences, with all proceeds directly benefiting Ardgowan Hospice.
