Dying Matters Week: Monday – What is Dying Matters Week?
What is Dying Matters Week?
Dying Matters Week is an annual national awareness campaign that strives to make the topic of death less taboo.
It runs concurrent to Good Death Week in Scotland. Ardgowan Hospice likes to engage in both for maximum awareness for our followers.
Through this week we’ll be covering a host of different subjects ranging from wills to your digital legacy, donating your organs to your ideal funeral and more.
Death is a very uncomfortable, often upsetting, conversation topic. However, a discussion now can take so much pressure off you and your loved ones should an unexpected illness or accident occur, allowing you and your family to focus on spending time together. It can also be comforting to know that in the event of your death, everything is in place for your friends and family.
Today is a short post to ease ourselves into the week. You’re invited to attend a free screening of the award winning documentary, Island. You can find the trailer below and more information and free tickets to the event on Thursday 16th here: ardgowanhospice.org.uk/event/island-screening
