As a University Teaching Hospice, we are committed to enhancing our skills and knowledge of palliative care to ensure we deliver the best care for the people we support.
Achieving the highest quality care
The team here at Ardgowan Hospice also work with other health and social care profressionals involved with palliative care to enhance their experience too, and we participate in research and development to improve our knowledge and that of the wider community.
As a specialist palliative care unit we want to share the knowledge that we have gained after 36 years of delivering hospice care. That’s why we are passionate about educating the next generation of health and social care professionals. We are committed to providing educational placements for both undergraduate and postgraduate students studying healthcare within the Great Glasgow and Clyde area.
We work jointly with the University of West of Scotland and our Education Facilitator, Stuart Milligan, can provide or organise training for health professionals. We deliver the majority of our education progammes in-house in our well-equipped training room, with our education library, providing a resource for in-house and external professionals.
If you are a health, social care or education professional and would like to know more about hospice palliative care, email Stuart at stuart.milligan@ardhosp.co.uk or you can call him on 01475 726830 (hospice) or 0141 849 4206 (UWS).
