Active for Ardgowan

Get Active this August for Ardgowan Hospice. Raise your fitness while raising funds for your hospice!

 

It’s fair to say we’ve all probably pushed the boat out a few times during lockdown. Let’s be honest, it hasn’t been an easy few months for anyone and it’s natural to turn to junk food for a little comfort eating.

If you feel like making a healthy change, why not lace up your trainers, create a JustGiving page, and start fundraising for your hospice with a fitness challenge. Just because all the major events haven’t been cancelled doesn’t mean you can’t create your own personal challenge! Here’s a few ideas:

Virtual Kiltwalk

The Kiltwalk may be cancelled, but there’s nothing stopping you putting on your tartan and taking to the streets of Inverclyde!

Run a Marathon

Plot out a route in Google Maps around the streets and create your very own marathon!

Walk ‘X’ Miles

Set a distance to cover over a period of days/weeks, and try to hit it with daily walks. Be it 5 miles, 50 miles, or 500 Miles, set your challenge and pound the pavement!

And because we know it’s stuck in your head now…

Pushup/Squat challenges

Set a total and aim to hit it by the end of the month. Why not record your progress!

There’s no end to ways you can be Active this August for Ardgowan!
