Kilmacolm Half Marathon, 10K & 3K

Take on the Kilmacolm Half Marathon, 10k or 3k this September and raise funds for Ardgowan Hospice!

Challenge yourself on 11 September ’22 by lacing up your shoes and taking on one of the runs at the Kilmacolm Running Festival.

Via event organisers, Inverclyde Leisure:

“The running of the Kilmacolm Half Marathon, 10k and 3k is one of the biggest participation events in Inverclyde’s sporting calendar.

The Kilmacolm Running Festival is now a scottishathletics Licensed Event and Under UK Athletics Rules.

Inverclyde Leisure have done everything to make this an enjoyable event for the runners and the people of Inverclyde. We also encourage families to get involved for a fun filled day!

All races start at the Birkmyre Park Fitness Gym. The first event of the day is the Toddle Woddle which starts at 9am for a walk/run around Birkmyre Park. No pre-registration is required. The 3k race will start at 9.15am, Half Marathon will start at 10am, 10k will start at 10.30am. Registration opens at 8am- and will close 15 minutes before the race event is due to head off. On the day entries are available until 15 minutes before the event you want take part in starts and pre-registered participants are required to register on the day to collect their entry pack which includes a timing chip, race number and t-shirt.

Runners make their way through the streets of the village, surrounding countryside and along the cycle path for the 10k and Half Marathon before returning to the Birkmyre Fitness Gym for the finish.

  • There will be 3 water stations on the 10k and Half Marathon routes at Whitelea Crescent, at he 10k turn and at the Half Martahon turn. There is also bottles of water and bananas available at the Finish line.
  • Marshals will line the routes to assist and encourage you along the way.
  • Toilet facilities will be provided and changing facilities will be available at Birkmyre Park Fitness Gym.
  • First Aid cover will be provided on the day for the duration of the event.
  • Food and drinks available to purchase from Birkmyre Cafe by Nardini.
