ZIPSLIDE THE CLYDE! Are you looking for your next adrenaline adventure?
Our new Zipslide the Clyde challenge is a unique and thrilling way to see Glasgow’s cityscape whilst helping Ardgowan Hospice raise much-needed funds. This is a 100ft high and 1245ft long challenge, launching off from a crane next to the stunning Glasgow Riverside Museum, it’s a challenge not to be missed with limited spaces available!
Ardgowan Hospice will cover the cost of your place, all that we ask is that you agree to raise a minimum sponsorship of £200 to help us support patients and their families within Inverclyde.

T&Cs/Restrictions
- You must be over 10 years old to participate in this event
- You must be under 120kg in weight and over 30kg and you must enter the event under your own name. You may not change places with another person without seeking permission from Ardgowan Hospice at least 10 days prior to the event. If you cancel your place within 14 days prior to the event you will be liable for a £50 cancellation fee.
- All participants enter this event entirely at their own risk and Ardgowan Hospice shall not be liable for any injury of loss that might occur as a result of your participation.
- Ardgowan Hospice takes all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of injury to participants during fundraising events. There is a stringent risk assessment process in place for each and every event which aims to minimise the risk to everyone taking part. However, by taking part in this event, you acknowledge that there may be conditions or circumstances beyond our control that can lead to unforeseen risks. If you have any concerns or queries please contact us before agreeing to take part in this event.
- All participants must abide by any rules, instructions and regulations provided in advance, displayed or given on the day by SBH Scotland staff and contracted agencies, police and officials.
- In return for a guaranteed place on a Ardgowan Hospice fundraising event, you must pay Ardgowan Hospice the stated registration fee (which is refundable only in the unusual circumstances that an event has been cancelled by Ardgowan Hospice) and commit to raising £300 donation, should you not reach this requirement you will be responsible to pay the remainder. The stated target sponsorship level excludes gift aid on sponsorship.
- Should you have to withdraw, there will be no refund payable to you as your sponsorship was raised for charitable purposes. All sponsor forms and monies should be forwarded to the charity or returned to the sponsors.
- Any monies raised in connection with a Ardgowan Hospice event must be passed to Ardgowan Hospice.
- If you want to raise additional money offline we can offer paper sponsor forms (available from our Fundraising Team on 01475 726830).
Any funds you have raised offline can be paid directly to the charity in 3 ways:
1) Send a cheque made payable to Ardgowan Hospice, 12 Nelson Street, Greenock, PA15 1TS
2) Pay through online banking – details can be given by emailing fundraising@ardgowanhospice.org
3) Visit our Hospice reception at Ardgowan Hospice, 12 Nelson Street, Greenock, PA15 1TS to hand any cash and sponsor forms.
Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part in an Ardgowan Hospice event should take medical advice from a general practitioner prior to the event. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to participate and it is extremely important that you are realistic and truthful about your capabilities and level of experience.
By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation in an Ardgowan Hospice event to be used to publicise our work, including television broadcasts.
Participants’ supporters and family members who spectate at events do so entirely at their own risk and Ardgowan Hospice shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their attendance other than as a result of Ardgowan Hospice’s negligence.
All transfers to and from the venue are at the participant’s own expense.
Event Cancellations or Postponements: Ardgowan Hospice and the provider reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event if they consider there is an unacceptable risk (e.g. severe adverse weather) to the event participants, their staff or the general public.
You accept no refund will be given if you cannot attend or if the event is cancelled for any reason. All entry proceeds will go to support the work of Ardgowan Hospice.
You agree to be bound by all the event rules, conditions, and safety instructions.
