Fundraising Friday: Recent Highlights
At Ardgowan Hospice, we are continuously inspired and uplifted by the incredible support we receive from our local community. Their efforts, creativity, and generosity help us provide vital care and services to those in need.
On this Fundraising Friday, we want to thank everyone who has supported us recently by showcasing the power of community spirit by highlighting some of the fundraising efforts in Inverclyde:
Three Peaks Challenge: David Hendry, John Ross and Andrew McMaster, alongside John McCann and Neil McVitie, took on the Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in under 24 hours. The group raised more than £1,700 for Ardgowan Hospice.
Lady Alice Bowling Club: Local organiser Jamie Cairns and his fellow card players scored a full house at Lady Alice Bowling Club in aid of the Ardgowan Hospice. Thanks to the success of the poker tournaments, they recently donated £760 in a kind gesture for the hospice.
Cappielow Bucket Collection: At the Morton vs Ayr United game, volunteers from Ardgowan Hospice held a bucket collection to raise vital funds. The bucket collection was a great success with the total amount reaching £404.
Callum McLelland: Callum McLelland was back with police comedy Sharp Instinct Volume II, starring all his friends and family. The 15-year-old, who lives and breathes films, had turned his bedroom into his very own cutting-edge studio. The premiere was a great success, with the youngster raising £500 for the hospice.
Geraldine Blair: Geraldine kindly donated £255 to Ardgowan Hospice by selling knitted Halloween bags filled with sweets. Geraldine will have more to come in Christmas so keep an eye out!
Promedics: After several fundraisers, Promedics generously donated £503.23 to Ardgowan Hospice. These fundraisers included bake sales, charity days and much more.
