Pick a day in May to GO YELLOW to raise funds for your local hospice!
Normally we would be telling you to get together and Go Yellow with your classmates, work colleagues, family and friends to help us to paint Inverclyde yellow! However this year things are a little different. Here’s how you can Go Yellow this May and brighten Inverclyde while staying safe and protecting your community.
What can you do?
- A Yellow Bake Off
It’s not a piece of cake to bake a cake at the moment. With some ingredients harder to come by, use your ingenuity to create a yellow themed recipe and tag us in the pictures. We’ll share the best pictures on social media and hold a vote for who is crowned star baker!
While making a cake, why not host a Go Yellow afternoon tea with friends over Zoom/Skype etc? Wear yellow on screen, eat and show off your yellow bakes and decorate your backgrounds!
- Wear yellow
Be bright and bold or subtle and smooth. Wear something yellow around the house, during your Zoom calls or out for your daily exercise. Tag Ardgowan Hospice in your yellow pictures!
- Drink Yellow
Zoom nights in are all the rage at the moment. Whether you’re sitting chatting, streaming a movie simultaneously, playing a quiz or playing a game, make your next Big Night In a Go Yellow party! Wear a yellow outfit. Make yellow mock/cocktails. Answer yellow themed questions. Watch a yellow themed programme. The sky is the limit!
- Grow Yellow
Buy some yellow flower seeds and see who can grow the biggest and best flower!
To support Ardgowan Hospice, simply text ‘GoYellow’ and any whole amount up to £20 (without £ sign) to 70085 to donate – for example, to donate £2 text ‘GOYELLOW 2’ to 70085. Texts cost your desired donation plus a standard rate message. You can also support here on our website or on our Facebook page.
See below for more information, please note this was created at a time when there was no pandemic so some of the following ideas may not be practical or useful.
Whatever you do to go yellow, why not take a #yelfie? Take a picture of your group wearing, holding or posing in front of something yellow, post it on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and tag us and using the hashtag #yelfie.
