Hospice care can help you and your family feel better, and feel more in control, making sure you are cared for in the right way, so that you and those close to you have the time to do, and talk about, what matters to you most.
We can help to manage pain, breathlessness and can often identify other ways to make life easier for you. We also offer practical advice on legal and financial issues, and provide ongoing sensitive support to your family, carers and friends.
Some people have a preference as to where they are cared for, and we will work with you and your family to try achieve this. We can support you at home, and other places of care, as well as at the hospice, in our day support service, or as an inpatient.
We work closely with your GP and district nurse, and also link closely with other medical and support staff you currently see, to work in partnership with them to provide you with the best all round care.
We will always try make sure you have a contact person at the hospice to speak to.
