Ardgowan Hospice’s new Memory Tree is a simple, yet poignant way to memorialise the life of someone you love.

The unique piece of artwork adorns a wall in our Access building and allows supporters to pay tribute to a special person via special heartfelt, engraved leaves.Once created, each leaf will stay on our Memory Tree for one year. After this time you will be offered the chance to renew your dedication for another year or you will be presented the leaf to display in your own home.

Our tree can be found in a quiet room beside our Access reception and you’re very welcome to pop into the hospice whenever you’re passing to visit it. You can sit with a tea or coffee, or just take a quiet moment out of your day to pause and reflect on all the lovely memories you shared.

The natural light from the windows brings the tree to life, with the three golden hues catching the rays of the sun through the day from sunrise to sunset. Reflections from passing vehicles gently play upon the metal, making your leaves sparkle with colour and life.

Each leaf is packed full of love, experiences and memories. By purchasing a leaf and helping fund our specialist, compassionate care, not only are you creating a physical representation of these important memories, you’re also helping other local families create new memories to cherish.

You can dedicate a leaf in memory of anyone special to you, even if they were not cared for by Ardgowan Hospice. You will still be able to pay tribute and visit their leaf here at the hospice.

How does the memory tree work?

The first step is to choose the colour of your leaf. The options are:

  • “White Gold” £10 a month by direct debit, or a one off payment of £120
  • “Rose Gold” £15 a month by direct debit, or a one off payment of £180
  • “Yellow Gold” £20 a month by direct debit, or a one off payment of £240

Then fill out the form below.  A member of our team will contact you to verify your message, take payment, and thank you for your kind donation and support.*

Once payment is processed, your leaf will be included in the next batch to be engraved. When your leaf arrives back at the hospice it will be lovingly placed upon our tree. You will then receive a call, or email if you prefer, to let you know your leaf is ready to visit anytime you’re ready.

Your leaf with then stay on the tree for one year. Before the end of your year, we will get in touch with you to discuss your wishes for the leaf. You’ll be given the choice of renewing the leaf for another twelve months or taking the leaf home.

*Please note, as this is such a new campaign we simply cannot predict how many people may get in touch. If you don’t hear back straight away please don’t be alarmed, a member of our team will be in touch as soon as they can. Thank you.
