Did you know that you can support your local hospice by donating through your salary?
Payroll Giving, also known as Give As You Earn, is a simple way to make regular, tax-free donations. It’s a quick and easy way to donate to us, straight from your pay before tax is deducted.
How do I donate?
Ask your Payroll Department whether your company offers the scheme. If they do, you need to decide how much you would like to give each time you are paid.
Every time you’re paid, your Payroll Department deducts the agreed amount and sends it to us. There’s nothing more for you to do.
Your donation will be even bigger at no further cost to you, as the Government adds the tax on as an extra donation. So if you agree to give £10, if you are a basic rate tax payer you only pay £8 – the taxman makes up the remaining £2. If your tax rate is 40%, it will actually only cost you £6.
You can give as much as you like and can change your donation just by informing your payroll department.
