There are many ways you can volunteer, either as an individual or as a team. Give our Volunteer Coordinator a call and we’ll talk through some options that suit both you and your company.

As a volunteer at Ardgowan Hospice you will receive training which will help you understand how we work giving you a broader knowledge of what we do. You will also receive any specific training you require to do your role.
You have to be 16+ to volunteer. Drivers must be 21+
We have over 300 fantastic volunteers at Ardgowan Hospice. However we’re always looking for new people to join our team!
For the majority of roles within Ardgowan Hospice you will be required to attend an informal interview, provide details of two referees and in some roles undergo a Disclosure Scotland (PVG) check. Candidates being considered for roles involving patient access must complete a Criminal Convictions Declaration Form (self-disclosure form).
Volunteering at Ardgowan Hospice can make a real difference to the people of Inverclyde. You can enrich the lives of the people we support by bringing specialist skills and knowledge, new ideas and enthusiasm.

We look for volunteers from all backgrounds and ethnicities, male and female and all ages over 16 years old. Experience is not always necessary.
In particular we are looking for volunteers with personality and great communication skills, more specific attributes will be shown as part of the opportunity.
