Jingle all the way for Ardgowan Hospice
This Christmas Ardgowan Hospice is asking the folk of Inverclyde to team up on the Greenock Esplanade for the Jingle Bell Jog. This is a brand new event in the hospice calendar and already has the support of many local businesses including Laser Matrix, SpecSavers and Sainsbury’s local.
Billed as an event for all the family, the Jingle Bell Jog is a fun walk, run or jog along the Greenock Esplanade and participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship money to take part. In return for their efforts, joggers will receive a finisher’s medal and t-shirt for completing the course and will be able to warm up with a hot brew and mince pies at Laser Matrix.
Hospice Fundraiser Alex Mula said, “This is the first time the hospice has organised a family friendly daytime walk and, following the success of our night-time walks, we’re hoping to establish the Jingle Bell Jog in the Inverclyde Calendar as an event everyone wants to complete.”
Registration is £10 for adults (16+), £5 for kids* (aged 5-15) and under 5s* can jog for free. On top of the registration fee, which only covers costs for the hospice, joggers are asked to raise a suggested minimum of £30 per person (£15 for under 16s).
£30 could pay for two sessions with Ardgowan Hospice’s family support team who work with children and young people pre- and post-bereavement to help them manage their grief after the loss of a family member.
Anyone who wants to take part must register. You can do this online or by completing and returning a registration form to us at Ardgowan Hospice, Fundraising, 12 Nelson Street, Greenock, PA15 1TS. For more information email email@example.com or call Alex on 01475 558888.
*All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
