Fundraising Friday

At Ardgowan Hospice, we are continuously inspired and uplifted by the incredible fundraising support we receive from our local community. Their efforts, creativity, and generosity help us provide vital care and services to those in need.

On this Fundraising Friday, we want to thank everyone who has supported us recently by showcasing the power of community spirit, highlighting some of the fundraising efforts in Inverclyde:

Wemyss Bay Community Association hosted an afternoon tea in memory of a much-loved craft club member, Juliane Neilson, who passed away earlier this year. More than 60 people from around the village and beyond gathered for some prosecco and raffle tickets to go around. The day raised £465, which has been donated to Ardgowan Hospice.

Rankin Park Bowling Club held a Ladies Day in support of Ardgowan Hospice and raised an incredible £1800 during their day of fundraising, including an afternoon tea with flowing prosecco.

Fundraiser Marc Sheridan bravely took on the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run as his first 10k in aid of Ardgowan Hospice in memory of Fay Cooke, Jean Hay, and Michael McCormack. His tremendous effort raised £1,454.

Ardgowan Hospice Marketing & Communications Manager, Colette Cameron, held a fundraising event at the Clyde Suite in memory of her younger brother, Kieran. The event was a great success with a raffle and auction on the night that raised £1000 for Ardgowan Hospice.

Local Buzzworks venue Scotts hosted a spectacular Ladies Day in aid of Ardgowan Hospice. The day was a great success, thanks to their team, host Edward Reid, DJ and Saxophonist. The day raised a fantastic £2305 from the raffle, games & auction.

The OYO Gin House Hotel held its annual Spooktacular Halloween Bash in aid of Ardgowan Hospice. Guests donned their best Halloween costumes and were entertained by a multitude of local music artists. The evening raised a fantastic £398 for hospice funds.

Popular Glasgow bar Saint Judes hosted a Bonkers Forever Charity night in memory of Brenda Whitelaw. The night featured a lineup of popular DJs, and people danced late into the night. Ticket money from the event was split between Ardgowan Hospice and Beatson Cancer, with both charities receiving £1315.
