Support for you

Support for families and carers

Support for children and young people

We know that it can help to talk things over, to help make decisions about your care and your future wishes. Often the people we support prefer to talk to someone external to their family and those who are close to them as they do not need to worry about causing upset by what they say.

Navigating the emotional landscape of a loved one's illness can be challenging. Our compassionate team offers counseling, support groups, and resources designed to help families and carers express and manage their feelings. Whether it's coping strategies for stress, spaces for sharing experiences, or simply a listening ear, we're here to hold your hand through these trying times.

We have a dedicated wellbeing worker to support children and young people who are navigating death and bereavement. We also have a dedicated service 'My Grief Matters' which is a complimentary service to better equip adults to deal with difficult conversations surrounding death with children and young people. To find out more about this service, please download our latest flyer by visiting our Wellbeing Support page or email wellbeing@ardgowanhospice.org
