At Ardgowan Hospice, we are continuously inspired and uplifted by the incredible fundraising support we receive from our local community. Their efforts, creativity, and generosity help us provide vital care and services to those in need.

On this Fundraising Friday, we want to thank everyone who has supported us recently by showcasing the power of community spirit by highlighting some of the fundraising efforts in Inverclyde:

Mudhook Whisky Club: At their annual Whisky and Banter Charity Night in February,  Mudhook Whisky Club and North Star Spirits partnered for a successful raffle and auction to raise a fantastic sum of £4750 for the hospice.

Frittos: Popular local takeaway spot raised £570 thanks to their staff and customers, who came together to raise money for the hospice. Fritto’s sold £3.50 suppers with £1 from each order being donated to the hospice.

Inverclyde Academy: Both pupils and staff at Inverclyde Academy came together to celebrate completing their 5k challenge. During February the fundraisers ran or walked 5k every day raising £1,160 for Ardgowan Hospice in the process.

Clydeview Academy: Local high school Clydeview Academy put on a show which included performances from all star pupils and teachers. Their talent and fundraising efforts helped to raise over £240 for the hospice.

Falkirk Wheel: At the beginning of April, five heroes put their fear of heights aside to abseil 100ft off the Falkirk Wheel. In total, our fundraisers collected just over an incredible £2,500 which will be used to continue providing vital services for the community.

Greenock Rotary: Local members of the Greenock Rotary Club got together in April to host a coffee morning in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Grosvenor Bowling Club: Members of the club attended a gents event with entertainment in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Morton in the Community: The Pay What You Can Camp was a huge success, with over 100 participants over the two days. £200 was raised for Ardgowan Hospice.
