Visit one of our charity shops and grab yourself a bargain. Any purchases you make, or goods you donate will help to pay for vital treatment for patients and their families affected by a life limiting illness.
A full list of our shops is available below. Donations can be made at our Kilmacolm, Oak mall or West Stewart Street shops. Please note, we cannot accept toys, electrical goods, quilts or large pieces of furniture. If you are eligible for Giftaid, please complete a one-off form from one of our volunteers when donating your goods.

Fancy learning new skills and making a difference in your local community?
Our shops are always on the lookout for new volunteers to be part of the friendly hospice team. Volunteers are involved in a wide range of roles and day-to-day activities that support the running of each store for two hours or more a week.
On the shop floor you could be involved with providing excellent customer service, processing transactions on the tills, replenishing stock and putting up eye-catching displays to entice customers in.
Behind the scenes, volunteers get involved with store housekeeping and administration, sorting through donations to find those hidden gems and preparing goods for sale by sorting, steaming and pricing items.
So if you’re up for a new challenge, contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator at heather@ardgowanhospice.org.
Please note that many of our shops are volunteer-led!
These driven and fantastic individuals play a vital part in the hospice machine and help provide you with a warm and friendly shopping experience while helping us earn important income from your donations. This means that from time to time, a shop may have to close earlier than advertised due to ill health or a prior commitment in our volunteers lives. It is therefore recommended you give a shop a quick call if you’re heading down later in the day to avoid disappointment.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Individual shop opening times can be found at the foot of this page – these can be subject to change so it is kindly suggested to call if you’re travelling any distance to visit a shop near closing time.
- Please treat our amazing volunteers with respect. The rules they enforce have been passed down by our retail team who have taken guidance on how to operate our shops for the safety of customers and volunteers alike.
